Havant YBC bowlers travelled to Torquay on April 7th.
Expectations were high and were largely met. 7 of the boys made
the Top 100, collecting England ranking points relative to their
final positions. Apart from this, Chris Vokes was seen in
sensational form as he started with a 269 game and averaged
200! He collected 90 ranking points for his performance.
ALL the girls hit the ranking places with Annaleise Vokes and
Nadine Cornish on top as they collected 90 and 82 points
respectively with a 180 and 175 average.

Less than two weeks before Havant travel to Nottingham for the
Nationals, four of our bowlers travelled there to represent
Hampshire at Under 16 level. Annaleise Vokes, Maisie Lovegrove
and Lauren Mitchell appeared for the girls while Sam Harvey
O'Connell appeared for the boys. A sure sign that we have some
great bowlers at the club.
The boys team finished 8th out of 27 teams with Sam hitting a
197.4 average, the best in the team. This was an improvement
from 11th last year. Meanwhile, the girls finished 16th out of
23 teams with Annaleise top average in the team at 163, again a
creditable improvement on last year when they finished 19th
