  • Hampshire and Sussex Through to Finals

Congratrulations to the Hampshire boys and girls, and Sussex boys who all qualified for the County Championship finals after playing against nearby counties Dorset, Berkshire and Devon, in Torquay. For the boys, Chris Vokes appeared, representing Havant, while Nadine Cornish, Annaleise Vokes and Lauren Mitchell bowled for the girls.  Matt Neal bowled for the Sussex Boys. All the girls and boys will have to bowl in Leeds in July, with Chris Chase, Dale Woodcock and Sam Harvey-O’Connell once again available for selection for the Hampshire boys, as a new squad can be named for the finals. The up and coming tournament held in Leeds, in June could prove crucial for the Havant bowlers hoping for selection, with a good performance there a possible persuasion to be selected by the Hampshire boys coach, for the County Finals in July.  No pressure there then lads !!

  • Early Start

A massive reminder that the bowling alley now opens at 9:45am instead of the previous 10am. Please arrive on time so matches can begin on time, and not to arise disappointment  to your team. Rules state that unless of consent of  the opposition team, a bowler may not join a game past the 5th frame.  This new earlier time has been brought in to make sure the Peewees get a game after their practice period.
